  1. If it’s indeed a part of God’s plan of salvation that Mama Mary would remain virgin before, during and after the birth of the Lord Jesus, then noone in
this world, no matter how powerful and Charismatic Protistant Pastor and even some modernist Catholic Priest/Bishops he might be, can argue this fact/dogma.2 seconds ago ·

  2. Ave Maria! Thank you for the defense of Mary’s Perpetual Virginity. In a Good News Bible (Catholic Study Edition) and in the NAB found on the USCCB site (http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/genesis/genesis14.htm) the 14 verse does not use the word brother, but nephew. I appreciate the video that references how brother can mean kinsmen as in the New Testament. I just wanted to point out that there are other perhaps traditional translations that are available that have kept the translation of brother in Genesis 14:14. Thank you and God bless you.

    • Adelphos is the Greek word used, it means Kinsman, which back then if you didn’t have a natural brother, your cousin then WAS your brother (or whatever male relative you did have, an uncle was also considered “brother”). Family ties were MUCH more important then, than now! They would even “adopt” others as their family members and the tie would be just as strong as a natural family bond. Since Joseph had been previosly married and had children of his own, they were naturally considered to be Jesus’ “brothers”, but then He considered EVERYONE to be His brother or sister, as we ALL are since we are ALL children of God, and He is His First Born Son! Just as Abraham told Pharoh that Sarah was his sister, he was not lying to him, she was in fact his sister! Yet, he was married to her!! Again, you can not interpret the Bible based on our “life-styles” of today.

  3. Well it was written in d old testament dat our saviour would be born of a virgin but can’t recall any prophecy where it was said dat she remained one.
I am a catholic but I dn’t accept this dogma of faith cos its hard to believe and very unpractical

    • there are archeological findings (i don’t have the book with me now so i apologize if i can’t quote it) that their a group of jews that preserve their virginity even when married. They just get into marriage for non sexual reason. If Mary is having sexual relationship with Joseph then the “mother of God” is being screwed by a man.

  4. this is what happenes when people are left on their own to interpret the Bible. You can not compare people’s lives back then with the “morals” we have today. If you read about the Ark, you will see that NO ONE was allowed to touch it except the priests and look at what happened when someone did touch it, that wasn’t suppose to! Do you really think God values a wooden box more than He does Mary? (Mary is a typological “Ark” because she had the living Word in her) Another thing, look at how our Lord values marriage and how He hates adultry. He took Mary as His own and because of this, she gave birth to Jesus. Our God is not one to say, “do as I say and not as I do”. Since Jesus is the one who created everything in this world, He created His own mother – perfect, without Original Sin, so she therefore did not have conquebicence as we do!!!!! One more; if you were a man about to marry a woman and God came to you to tell you HE was going to enter into her and create a Divine Person, would YOU go in where God had already been Himself? Study a little on Mary’s life prior to her betrothal to Joseph, you just might find a little insight on her beliefs and the beliefs of people of her time!!!!! Quite different from our times today.

  5. In the Ciry Of God the birth of Jesus is told.
The baby Jesus passed through the stomach wall of the Virgin Mary into the hands of the Angel Gabriel. This is how she is ever Virgin.
Being born without the stain of original sin She did not have the pain and gore of any ordinary birth. Ave Maria Queen of the Angels.

  9. You’ll find absolutely plenty of details like that to take into consideration. Which is a fantastic point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly you can find questions like the 1 you bring up where essentially the most vital thing will likely be working in honest beneficial faith. I don?t know if perfect practices have emerged around points like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
