Two other Scripture passages are looked at today showing the existence of a middle state where sins are forgiven. One from the Gospel of Matthew and another from the Second book of Maccabees.

  1. those scriptures you cite prove nothing you say
    not a shred.

all they prove is The Most High does not like it when you insult Him
and Jesus is not God, but a mere man who shouldn’t be worshipped as such

    anyway
dogma is, isn’t it? Come out of her.

  2. oh I listened
    have been for years
I consulted each verse he used here, as well as read them in their complete context

    and I know it’s wrong
‘purgatory’ is an invention of man, derived from irrational vagueness and ancient dogmatic clinging

I’ll not be led by the nose by these liars

    Come out of her!

  3. we actually no, Father used to scripture to show though reason how after we die, our souls need to go through a purification process in order to enter heaven, also why do you state Jesus is not God?

    • GOD is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, creator, eternal, life giver. Jesus Christ is GOD the Son of the Almighty Father. He is omnipotent Rev.1:7-8, omnipresent Mt. 18:20; 2Cor.13:5, omniscient 1Cor.1:24, creator Heb.1:10, eternal Heb. 13:8; Jn. 8:57-58, life giver JN. 5:21-23; Jn. 5:26

  4. Mike, it’s rather odd you imply Brother Joseph has used his Scripture passages out of context, yet then turn around and use Matt 4:10 in a wholly unintended context! Jesus was speaking against Satan, not against worshipping the Son of God -who is God. In any case, in using this one passage, you ignore many others like the ones listed by joe dajes. Please Read Hebrews -if Paul believed Jesus was the Son of God and worthy of worship (“Let all God’s angels worship him”), that’s good enough for me.

In terms of this video, it’s entirely logical to believe in a “state of being” called Purgatory. Unless you receive a last minute absolution of your earthly sins, it’s safe to assume you will not be “pure” when you die. Yet no impurities can be found in Heaven. Hence, there must be a transitional state between death and entering Heaven whereby our final earthly sins are washed away. We are washed clean by the blood of Christ. Purgatory is the state in which the washing takes place.

  5. Is Mike a christian? Why engasging in arguement with him? Paul in the book of Timothy said ‘anyone who does not believe that God was manifested in the flesh’ (incarnation) is an ANTICHRIST. Is there any need to engage in arguement with an agent of the one who opposes Chriist. And can his arguement change the truth and reality of Jesus?
